The police said that that Minugu Sujatha of Pochammawada of Indaram village, Mancherial district, was married to Minugu Banesh and has a son.
Her husband was addicted to liquor and used to beat her every day.
She was mentally depressed and wanted to end her life and tried to commit suicide.
River police team rescued her and handed over her to Srirampur Inspector Koteshwar Rao for counselling.
