The Amaravati Meteorological Department has forecast moderate rains in several parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday due to the surface periodicity formed in the southwestern Bay of Bengal, which extends 3.1 km above sea level. The weather department said that the cold intensity in Andhra Pradesh has increased due to heavy rains over the last four to five days and asserted that Coastal Andhra and Yanam are likely to receive light to moderate rains on Tuesday.

The Meteorological office warned of heavy rains to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Yanam, and West Godavari districts. Farmers are advised to take care of their crops in the wake of unseasonal rains. Also, Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, and Nellore districts are likely to receive showers.

It is also forecasted that heavy rains with thunderstorms in some areas. Meanwhile, the Amaravati Meteorological Department has forecasted dry showers in several districts of Rayalaseema on Tuesday.
