Ministers Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Adimulapu Suresh, Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh, collector Dr. Pola Bhaskara, SP Siddharth Kaushal, local MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu, APCPDCL Ongole SE NVS Subbaraju and others paid tributes to the deceased at the GGH Ongole before shifting them to the village and offered moral support to the bereaved family members.

They interacted with the injured people and learned about the accident from them. Balineni Srinivasa Reddy announced that the government would provide the ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh and promised to look into the demands of the family members like employment to the kin of deceased and land for agriculture purpose. He announced that they would also change the electricity poles wherever required and conduct an enquiry on how 22 people are allowed to travel on the tractor truck.

The bodies of Pika Koteswaramma aged 50 years, Nukathoti Lakshamma aged 65 years, Kakumanu Ramadhevi aged 55 years, Kakumanu Kumari aged 45 years, Kakumanu Ramasri aged 40 years, Golla Ravi Sankar aged 20 years, Kakumanu Siva aged 17 years, Kakumanu Mounika aged 18 years, Kakumanu Amulya aged 18 years, and the farmer and tractor driver Nalluri Chenchaiah aged 38 years reached the village after post-mortem at Government General Hospital in Ongole in the noon.

The Santhanuthalapadu MLA Sudhakar Babu followed them to Machavaram and stayed till the cremation is complete and promised to extend all possible support from the government.
