Ongole: AP people do not require YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who does not live in the State, has no interest in attending the sessions in the State Assembly, has no confidence in AP police and respect for officials, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday. Naidu then wondered why Jagan wants votes from people of the State.

The Chief Minister and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu participated in the TDP election preparatory meeting with the party booth-level convenors, Sevamitras, other party workers and leaders here.

Naidu said that the TDP had the support of 65 lakh members of Pasupu Sainyam, one crore DWCRA women, 60 lakh pensioners, 5 lakh unemployment allowance beneficiaries, 15 lakh drivers who benefitted from the government paying the motor vehicle tax and 3rd party insurance and 45 lakh farmers who are receiving Annadatha Sukhibhava benefits.

He listed out various successful schemes being implemented by the TDP government like Chandranna Bima, Pelli Kanuka, sanitary napkins for adolescent girls, Adarana for craft workers, Anna Canteens, Pasupu Kunkuma, interest-free loans for women and pensions for old-aged etc and claimed credit for changing the villages' living standards.

He said that the government was implementing welfare schemes for the welfare of people right from the baby in the womb of the mother and covering the entire life span.

He called upon the beneficiaries to come forward to vote and the party activists should motivate the people to vote for TDP. He said that there is no right for others to ask for the votes of people except the Telugu Desam which is implementing various welfare schemes for the benefit of different sections.

The TDP supremo alleged that the YSRCP president Jagan was making baseless allegations against the TDP with regard to the murder of his paternal uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy. Stating that Vivekananda Reddy's body was found in a pool of blood by his PA and maids of the relatives of Jaganmohan Reddy, Naidu wondered why the relatives of Jaganmohan Reddy first declared the death as the one caused due to heart attack and blood vomiting.

He pointed out that the relatives of the YSRCP chief had advised Kadapa SP that there was no need for investigation by the police and they also ensured that they was no clear evidence by mopping the room.

But after the news broke out that the death of the former MP was not natural, the YSRCP leaders alleged that the murder was committed by the TDP activists and later handed over a letter to police indicating involvement of the driver in the murder, said the Chief Minister.

He asked the police department to conduct a flawless and thorough probe into the murder and take action against the people involved, including the murderers and people who tried to erase the clues, no matter who they were. He alleged that the YSRCP leaders had a history of involvement in murders and murder attempts and said that the TDP never resorted to such criminal politics.

He lambasted TRS president KCR for trying to put the finger in the AP politics through the YSR Congress and acting as per the direction of Narendra Modi. He alleged that KCR resorted to the theft of Sevamitra app data and gave it to YSRCP.

Naidu said that they may get the details of the Sevamitras but cannot influence them to vote against TDP. He said that KCR was trying to stop the Polavaram Project with the support of Modi and Jagan by filing a writ in the Supreme Court.

Naidu cautioned people that every vote polled to YSRCP is a vote in support the KCR and Modi. He said that casting votes in favour of the Opposition party was nothing but obstructing construction of multipurpose Polavaram Project and development of Andhra Pradesh.
