Vijayawada: As part of Vinayaja Chaviti festival, a clay Ganesh idol was installed at Sai Trishakti Nilayam by its founder Dr K Atchi Reddy and commenced the festival on a grand note here on Thursday.
Vidyadharapuram CI Mohan Reddy participated as the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking to the media, he appealed to the people of Vijayawada to celebrate the festival without pollution by using clay Ganesh idols.
A Ganesh portrait was presented to the CI on the occasion.
Dr Konala Vamsikrishna, Dr Lakshmisai Priya, Jyothi, Srinivas and others were present.
