Guntur: Flights will be operated from Gannavaram Airport to Singapore from December 4 on wards. First International flight from Singapore to Vijayawada will land at Gannavaram Airport on December 4 at 3.45 p.m. The same flight will departure at 6.25 p.m. from Gannavaram Airport. The IndiGo Airlines will operate Airbus-320 with 180 seats facility weekly twice.

It will operate flights to Singapore on every Tuesday and Thursday for the convenience of the passengers. Singapore flight which will start at 6.25 p.m. at Gannavaram Airport, will reach Singapore at 1.30 a.m. The Indigo Airlines has already opened ticket booking for the convenience of the passengers. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to inaugurate Singapore flight.

Speaking to the Hans India, Gannavaram Airport director G Madhusudan Rao said, “All necessary permissions were given to IndiGo Airlines to operate flights to Singapore. Ticket booking has already opened. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely inaugurate the flight to Singapore.

Similarly efforts are going on to operate flights to Dubai also.” Meanwhile, nine-seater mini flights will be operated to Nagarjunasagar and Puttaparthy within two weeks. Supreme Airlines is making arrangements to start flights operation to Nagarjunasagar and Puttarparthy and got necessary permissions.

CEO of AP Airports Development Corporation Virendra Singh said, `` Under the Regional Airport Development and Regional Connectivity scheme, flights will be extended to Nagarjunasagar and Puttarparty soon. Donakonda airport will come into operation next year. We have already taken steps to develop the airport at Donakonda.”
