Nellore: Good days are ahead for Nellore and Prakasam districts as a rain-system had developed in the Southeast Bay of Bengal. India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a warning on Wednesday that a well-marked low pressure area was formed over the Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean which would further intensify into a depression in the next 24 hours.

The system would further move towards south coastal Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu in next 72 hours. Consequently, heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted to occur at isolated places in south coastal AP and north Tamil Nadu on 15th and 16th.

IMD warned that there would be gale winds at a speed of 60-70 kmph during these two days while crossing the coast. Fishermen were warned not to venture into sea from Wednesday itself due to rough conditions in the sea. Fishermen in the sea are also advised to come back to coast before 14.
