Emraan Hashmi gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, 'Why Cheat India' says Ayaan's cancer free victory is his own, and they just supported him as a family.

Emraan interacted with media at a 'Why Cheat India' promotional event on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Emraan on Tuesday shared the happy news that his son Aayaan after 5 years has now been declared Cancer Free. Talking about it he said, "We are very happy its been a long journey of 5 years. We are happy that he is out of the red, it is his victory and we have just supported him as a family."

When asked about how prepared the makers are for the film, since there have been setbacks with the name and release date, Emraan said, "Cheat India or Why cheat India, people have seen the promos now and if they think it is interesting they will come to see the film. It is a relevant film about the education system, the things are holding it down and the corruption that's plagued it."

The film previously titled, 'Cheat India' was changed to 'Why Cheat India' a week before the film's release due to an objection by the 'Central Board of Film Certification'.

Directed by Soumik Sen, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Emraan Hashmi

'Why Cheat India' is slated to release on 18th Jan 2019.
