Aminpur jewellery shop robbery case: SOT police nab 2 robbers near Kolkata

Sangareddy: SOT police (Special Operation Team of Madhapur Zone with the coordination of Sangareddy police on Thursday evening nabbed two burglars who robbed at Jai Bhavani Jewellery shop under Aminpur police station limits in Sangareddy district on July 4.
According to the reliable sources, the SOT police had arrested the criminal duo at Asamsole area near Kolkata in West Bengal. After the robbery, the sources said, the male criminal flew to West Bengal on air while his female partner reached Kolkata by train. The police, who took the case as a challenge, formed five teams to nab the looters. Sangareddy SP Chadrasekhar Reddy also announced a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for giving information or identifying the burglars.
The burglars, who entered Jai Bhavani Jewellery shop posing as couple around 8pm on July 4, robbed 1 kg of gold and Rs 4.5 lakh cash at gunpoint. The owner of the shop Jayaram, who tried to thwart the heist, including another person was also injured in the incident and was locked up inside the shop by the robbers while fleeing with the booty around 10pm. The couple lso reportedly visited the shop six months ago.
