bloodKarimnagar: District Revenue Officer (DRO) K Krishna Reddy, here on Friday, urged the people to donate blood without hesitation. He was inaugurating a `Blood Donation Camp' at SRR Degree and P G College in the town on Friday to mark the `World Blood Donation Day.' The DRO said: ``Scores of patients are dying at various hospitals daily due to lack of required blood. If people come forward to donate blood, then lives of most of the needy patients can be saved. Blood donation is the most important among various charities.'' Mr Krishna Reddy said that blood will be regenerated within 48 hours after a person donates his/her blood. Healthy persons in the age group of 18-60 with 45 kgs weight can donate blood. Eligible persons can donate blood once in three months, he said. SRR College Principal Dr K Murali, Red Cross Blood Bank officer Dr ML N Murthy, NCC Major Kulwanth Singh and retired principal M V Narsing Rao were present. Nizamabad: A `Blood Donation Camp' was organised at District Headquarters Hospital here on Friday to mark `World Blood Donation Day.' The camp was organised by the District AIDS Control Society and was inaugurated by Collector Christina Z Chongthu. ``Many people are losing their lives in road accidents daily due to lack of blood,'' the Collector said. DM & HO Govindu Wagmare, IKP PD Venkatesham, District AIDS Programme Manager Nagireddy, Red Cross Society members Dr Ramchander, Rammohana Rao, Dr Prakash and others were present.
