DFO demanding bribe, allege employees.Forest Section Officers (FSOs) and Forest Beat Officers (FBOs) staged a dharna demanding transfer of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) here on Thursday in front of his office.
FSOs, FBOs stage dharna
Action would be initiated against staff if they failed to discharge their duties as per orders with regard to ‘Haritha Haaram’
Nirmal (Adilabad): Forest Section Officers (FSOs) and Forest Beat Officers (FBOs) staged a dharna demanding transfer of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) here on Thursday in front of his office.
Speaking on the occasion, FSOs and FBOs said that the DFO Vinod Kumar has been demanding that they pay certain percentage of amount in every work executed under ‘Haritha Haaram’ scheme. They alleged that Vinod Kumar was taking action against staff if they did not obey his instructions.
FSOs Laxman and Arjun said that works of ‘Haritha Haaram’ were launched on March 1 and funds were sanctioned on March 20. “DFO suspended an FSO and FBO alleging that they had shown negligence in discharging their duties,” they said. FSOs asked as to how DFO could suspend without giving time to take up ‘Haritha Haaram’ works.
FSOs and FBOs said that they would continue their protest until the DFO was transferred.Responding to the allegations of FSOs and FBOs, Vinod Kumar said that he had suspended one FSO and FBO as they had failed to execute works of ‘Haritha Haaram’ in the stipulated time.
He alleged that the FSOs and FBOs were organising dharna unnecessarily leveling false accusations against him. He said that action would be initiated against staff if they failed to discharge their duties as per orders with regard to ‘Haritha Haaram’.
