Hazipur shocked as cops dig out another girl's body from same well
Hazipur (Yadadri-Bhongir): A minor girl's alleged rape and murder at Hazipur village in Bommalaramaram mandal has opened a can of worms for the police and the investigative officials, as they came to know about shocking murder of another missing girl from the same village.
The Rachakonda–Bhongir zone police, who were shocked to hear the revelation of one of the accused persons arrested in minor girl Shravani's murder case, found the decomposed body of another teenage girl in the same well, who was identified as Manisha (18), daughter of Gopulapuram Mallesh of Hazipur.
According to family members of the deceased girl and the police, Manisha, a native of Hazipur village, was pursuing first year of graduation at a private degree college in Keesara of Medchal district. She went missing over two months ago. As she did not return home in the evening on that particular day, the family members of Manisha searched for her, but in vain. The family members, who thought that she might have eloped with her boyfriend, did not even lodge a complaint with the police thinking that it would bring a bad name to the family. They kept waiting for her thinking that she would return one day or the other.
It may be recalled that a couple of days ago, a special investigation team with local police accelerated the probe into Shravani's case and reportedly took eight suspects from Hazipur and Bommalaramaram mandal into custody. During the probe, one of the accused, Srinivas Reddy, who owns the agricultural well where the Shravani's body was found, spilled the beans about Manisha's murder. Soon, the police rushed to the well, dug up and found the decomposed body of Manisha. Based on bag and the identity card inside, the police identified the dead body as that of Manisha and shifted it to government hospital in Bhongir for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the investigation team is also looking to trace the whereabouts of other girls who went missing from the village and its surrounding areas. Further it came to be known that, a Class 6 girl, Kalpana, of Hazipur village who went missing in 2015, was not yet traced.
