In the latest development, former Rajahmundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has put porth yet another demand of setting up of High Court benches in Rajahmundry in front of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is however, the AP government has decided to set up a high court in Kurnool and High Court benches in Visakha and in Amaravati. He wrote an open letter to the AP chief minister. In his letter, Vidavalli Arun Kumar reminded the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy's wish to set up a high court bench in Kurnool as well as in Rajahmundry.

Undavalli told CM Jagan that YSR had come up with this idea 14 years ago. On the other hand, Undavalli mentioned about the shortage of the sand in Rajahmundry. He urged Jagan to ensure that the sand is available to the labour and public. Undavalli Arun Kumar demanded the government to take steps to speed up the Polavaram project.
