A Computer engineering student named Gembali Gautham who hails from Parvathipuram has designed an E-bike in just 15 hours. Despite being the computer science background student, Gautham's passion for mechanics has led him to develop such a bike. Gautham Sad that he designed the bike with the help of his friend Janaki a welder by profession. The bike can travel 60 km upon charging for two hours.

Gautam, who came for Dussehra holidays to home, unveiled the process of the making. He used old iron equipment, electrical goods, scooter tires, Brushless DC motor and lithium battery to manufacture the vehicle. Accelerator, Auto Gear System, Hand Brake and headlights are also installed to the bike. Gautam says his experiment ended fruitfully with the help of Jaldu Vinay, the town's leading electrical dealer who supplied electrical equipment for free. Gautam, who has done MSC Computers, is currently working as a Program Officer at Vashon Company in Hyderabad.

Gautam claims that he has developed this bike to escape traffic Challans. He said that this bike is just like a bicycle, which doesn't require any documents and also pollution-free. Gautam said, he is ready to do such innovations in coming days if the govt provides any assistance.
