Hyderabad: The TRS is confident that it will not only form the first government in the 29th State of India but will also emerge as a key player in national politics and formation of the new government at the Centre. TRS is already going ahead with all its arrangements to prepare a list of those who would be asked to take oath along with KCR and the portfolios they should be allotted. TRS president KCR is busy meeting party leaders on the strategies to be adopted after forming the government and the role TRS should play at the Centre.
According to TRS leader K T Rama Rao, the choice for TRS is not essentially limited to NDA and UPA. He said that if need be the TRS would even consider sailing with the Third Front. “All options are open,” he said. He said the party was confident that it would win a significant number of Lok Sabha seats as well which should allow them to play a key role in Delhi. Rao said that he does not see through the prism of bipolar political system. “I don't think the choice is essentially between the two coalitions NDA or UPA. Realignment and lot of changes would happen in the post-poll scenario and TRS will play a crucial role in formation of union government,” he said.
On whether TRS is betting on the Third Front to come to power, KTR said that he is not betting on the Third Front or the Fourth Front. “Anything could happen. We have our options open. Whatever is in the interest of Telangana, definitely we will do that,” he added.
