City lad in State swimming team. Vijayawada boy P Nageswara Rao, a senior Intermediate student of Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana (KBN) College, has been selected for the Junior and Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship-2015, scheduled to be held in Pune from July 13 to 19.

College principal P Krishna Murthy announced that Nageswara Rao qualified for the national event by securing first place in 200 metre backstroke and second place in 100 and 50 metre events at a State level swimming tournament held in Visakhapatnam.
“Nageswara is preparing rigorously for the National Aquatic Championship under the guidance of physical education director D Hemachandra Rao. We hope he will get the State stand first,” the principal said.
College president U Sambasiva Rao, secretary SVSM Rajith Kumar, vice-principal V Narayana Rao, physical education teachers M Sambasiva Rao and B Nagalakshmi were also present.
