Uppal: Demanding the implementation of poll promises made in 2014 by the then ruling party, members of Telangana All Pensioners and Retired Persons Association (TAPRPA) organised road blockade at Uppal Junction on Monday. The demands include temporary allowance of Rs 3,000, basic pension of Rs 9,000 and dearness allowance every three months. The protesters warned of intensifying their agitation if their demands were not fulfilled. TAPRPA general secretary MN Reddy, vice president Chowdhary, vice general secretary P Narayana Reddy, N Brahmachari took part.
