A case was registered against a teacher for taking a picture of the ballot paper after exercising his vote in MLC elections. Later, his vote was cancelled by the presiding officer.
Gattu Manohar cast his vote at polling centre number 11 at Chilpur in Jangaon district on Friday. The presiding officer Anitha who saw Manohar taking the picture recovered the ballot paper and alerted RDO L Ramesh and the police.
The police seized the ballot paper and deleted the pictures from his phone. A criminal case was registered against him.
