Some of the residents, who inhaled the foul smell of the burnt up condoms, alerted the media.Speaking to the media, a local resident, Sunit said the condoms packets were burnt though the condoms could be used for two more years and it showed the indifference of the officials.
District AIDS Regulating Society officer Sridhar Reddy lamented that the NGOs were weakening the programme intended for benefit of people though the State government released funds for eradicating AIDS.
