The department of Chemistry of Maris Stella College organised a guest lecture on Career Opportunities in Chemistry on the college premises on Thursday
Vijayawada: The department of Chemistry of Maris Stella College organised a guest lecture on Career Opportunities in Chemistry on the college premises on Thursday.
The chief guest of the programme was V Kiran Kumar, Head, Director, CIPET, Enikepadau. He explained about different career opportunities in various fields like industry, academics, bio-chemistry, petroleum industry, food science, chemical engineering, business, government and legal fields and plastics engineering.
He further briefed about new career path for B Sc Chemistry polymer or plastics chemistry. The department also organised a chemistry exhibition ‘Alchemy Fair 2018’ which was inaugurated by the guest V Kiran Kumar and Dr Sr Jasintha Quadras, principal.
About 50 models were exhibited by the science students. About 140 demonstrators explained about the concepts. A total 500 students from various schools and colleges in and around Vijayawada visited the exhibition.
Dr Vani Latha, HoD Chemistry and other faculty members, B Sc students participated in the programme.
